ANNOUNCEMENTS: Students & Parents: How are you all doing during these trying times? I am here to help! Email me with any concerns or questions that you may have.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are next month already! Stay tuned for some details! :)
It is flying by! I cannot believe we have already been in school now for about three months! Where did the time go?
Hello! My name is Hollie Sloboda and I am thrilled to be a part of the wonderful staff here at Clearview High School.
This is my 12th year in teaching and my 10th year at CHS. Previously, I taught grades 8 & 10 in the Amherst school district. I proudly call Clearview my home though.
In my free time, which is hard to come by, I enjoy reading, being outdoors, cooking and spending time with family. I have been baking bread this month and have become quite good at it. I am also a true believer that it is the little things in life that really make it wonderful.
I earned my Bachelor's in Education from BGSU in 2010 and my Master's in English from Southern New Hampshire University. (2017)
I stay busy being a mom of five daughters and one son. My oldest daughter Natalie graduated in 2019 from Clearview and is attending Arizona State to study Forensic Psychology. She just earned her third Associate's degree from LCCC. She needs one more year of schooling to earn her Bachelor's degree! My second daughter Lindsay is a recent graduate of Clearview High School and is off to The University of Toledo to study Nursing. My third daughter Allison is now a Sophomore here at CHS. She loves her little siblings immensely and talks of being a Child Life Specialist at a hospital for her career. She may attend Kent State or The University of Akron. She has time to decide but is thinking about where she wants to study in the near future. My fourth daughter Mira is currently five and she loves unicorns and using scissors and glue to create masterpieces. She is excelling in Kindergarten and loves playing outside--especially picking all flowers within her reach. My (only) boy Dominik, my fifth child, is four years old. He loves Buzz Lightyear and macaroni and cheese at the moment. He is in preschool and has so much energy! Last but definitely not least is baby Emelia. She goes by Emmy and is almost two. She loves snuggling, pasta and playing outside any chance that she gets. She is the last baby and has five older siblings. She is definitely loved!
I cannot wait to meet all of you!
-Mrs. Hollie Sloboda
What are you reading? I am reading a John Verdon novel and it is so scary and exciting! It is called "Think of a Number" and I'm hooked. I love reading and hope to see you enjoy it as well! It is my relaxation in a busy life! Your students will be required to read a book of their choice, in class, when we have a little bit of downtime.
I finished my James Patterson book series the first week in July. It was 21 books! I was hooked! I had never read his books before and those of you who had me in class are well aware of my reading addiction last year! Who knew that reading about murder mysteries would be my thing? I also read a five book series by an author named James Baldacci. These were amazing!
